Privacy policy
Short version: this is a mostly static website. It doesn’t track you, run ads, or set cookies of its own. If you send a VM hosting inquiry, the details you submit and some technical information are stored privately so I can follow up.
Who runs this site
rockingja.com is the personal website of Jordan T. Anderson, Victoria, Texas. Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected].
What this site collects
This site is plain HTML and CSS. It has no user accounts, no comment system, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking scripts. Fonts and images are served from this domain, not from outside services. The only form is the VM hosting inquiry form described below.
This site does not set any cookies of its own.
VM hosting inquiry form
If you submit the form on the VM Hosting page, I store what you enter (such as your name, email, company, phone and requirements). For security, spam prevention and follow-up, each submission also logs your IP address, approximate location (country and, where available, region and city as derived from your IP address by Cloudflare), browser and device information (user agent, language, screen and window size, time zone) and referral information (the referring page and any campaign tags in the link you followed).
A small script on that page fills in the device and referral details; the form works without it. Submissions are kept privately on a server I control, are sent to my own inbox as an email notification, and are not sold, shared for marketing or used to build advertising profiles. To ask for a copy of an inquiry or to have it deleted, email me.
Cloudflare
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which acts as a content delivery network and security service. To protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser user agent and the pages requested, and it may set strictly necessary security cookies (for example, to tell legitimate visitors apart from automated attacks). These cookies are not used for advertising or to build a profile of you. Cloudflare’s handling of this data is described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy and its cookie documentation.
Server logs
Like most web servers, the server hosting this site may keep standard access logs (such as IP address, date and time, page requested and user agent) for security and troubleshooting. Logs are kept for a limited time, are not used for marketing, and are not sold or shared except where required by law.
If you email me, I receive your email address, name (if included) and whatever you choose to write. I use that only to read and respond to your message. I don’t add anyone to a mailing list or share messages with third parties. Email is handled by my email provider under its own privacy terms.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to other websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy doesn’t cover them.
Children
This site isn’t directed at children and doesn’t knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
